Go to Facebook Settings > Your Facebook Information > Download Your Information. Select JSON format and choose the data you want. Facebook will prepare your download (usually 1-24 hours) and notify you when it's ready.

Go to Instagram Settings > Privacy and Security > Download Your Data > Request Download. Instagram will email you a link when your export is ready (usually within 48 hours).

Go to takeout.google.com, select Google Photos, and click Export. Google will prepare your download and email you when it's ready. Large libraries may be split into multiple ZIP files.

Platforms like Facebook and Google may take 1-48 hours to prepare your data, especially if you have a lot of photos or years of content. BrainCopy will remind you when your exports are likely ready.

For files over 100MB, use our large file upload option which supports files up to 10GB. If your export is split into multiple ZIP files, you can upload them one at a time.

Most imports complete within 5 minutes. Very large imports (10,000+ photos) may take up to 30 minutes. You can track progress on your dashboard.

Some export formats don't include all media. Check that you selected "all data" when requesting your export. You can also re-import if needed.

Yes! You can re-upload your export file at any time. BrainCopy will detect duplicates and only add new content.

BrainCopy supports exports from Facebook, Instagram, Google Photos, WhatsApp, Messenger, and 15+ other platforms. We accept ZIP files in the standard export format from each platform.

Your data is stored on EU-based servers (Germany/Sweden) with encrypted connections. Media files are stored in your personal cloud storage account.

Yes. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from your account settings. We comply with GDPR and will remove all your data within 30 days.

Only you. BrainCopy is a private, personal tool. No one else can access your data unless you explicitly share it through Legacy features.

You can export all your data at any time. If BrainCopy were to shut down, we would give at least 90 days notice and help all users export their data.

AI can recognize faces (to group photos by person) and describe what's happening in each photo (people, activities, locations, mood). This enriches your timeline and makes everything searchable.

Face recognition correctly identifies people about 95% of the time. You can always correct mistakes, and the system learns from your corrections.

AI processing uses advanced machine learning models that cost us per image. We pass through this cost at fair pricing so the basic service stays free.

Free includes: importing from all platforms, timeline view, search, and basic organization. AI features (face recognition, image descriptions) are paid per use.

BrainCopy has no subscription to cancel. You only pay for AI processing when you choose to use it. Your imported data and basic features are always free.
