BrainCopy is a family-owned business from Gothenburg, Sweden — a three-generation effort by Cnvert Sweden AB (est. 2018), with BrainCopy conceived and built since 2024. After years of photos scattered across iCloud, Google Photos, and old hard drives — handwritten diaries and navigation logbooks gathering dust — we built what we wished existed: one place for an entire life story.

Download your data anytime, store it with the most secure partners we’ve found like CloudMe, or keep it on our own EU servers in Germany and Sweden. The choice is yours. All options are European-hosted, GDPR-protected, and outside the US Cloud Act.
You pay if you want your data enhanced by AI and if you’d like help storing it for the future and your legacy. That’s it. We don’t sell data, show ads, or monetize your attention. “If you’re not paying, you’re the product” — that’s not how BrainCopy works.
When AI describes your photos, it sees each image once, creates a description, and moves on. The AI provider (Anthropic, EU-processed) does not store your images or use them for training. Your memories stay yours — the AI is a tool, not a data vacuum.

You then decide if you want to keep your data in CloudMe or BrainCopy for €10/month, safeguarding it for your loved ones, get a sync client to store future data, and also get more than 10 days to upload data you're about to process, OR if you prefer to download your augmented data and store it elsewhere. In each case, you can decide to do what you wish immediately, or in the future, as the service does not try to lock you in, and your data stays yours, always.
Yes, always. Your photos, documents, diary entries, and everything you've uploaded can be downloaded at any time from your dashboard. If you cancel your subscription, you have 90 days to download everything before your storage is deactivated.
Yes, cancel anytime from your Settings page. There is no cancellation fee or minimum period. After cancellation, your data remains accessible for 90 days so you have plenty of time to download everything.
All data is stored on European servers (Hetzner, Germany or Linköping, Sweden) in full compliance with GDPR. Your files are on your own personal cloud drive — not shared with anyone. We never sell your data or use it for advertising.
AI processing purchases (face detection, vision, etc.) are one-time fees and don't require a subscription. Once you're done, you can download your enhanced data and you have a 10-day free period to try BrainCopy. After that, your upload possibility pause but your data is preserved and you have 45 days to decide on a subscription or to download your data again.
You can designate people who should receive access to your memories after you pass away. After 90 days of account inactivity, your designated legacy recipients are notified and given access to the content you've chosen to share with them. This ensures your life story is preserved for your family.
