Founders

If you got hit by a bus tomorrow, could your co-founder run it on Friday?

Founder working alone at night with scattered notes and a laptop

Every founder carries ten years of unwritten context: which investor said what, why you picked that supplier, the real reason that key hire left. BrainCopy captures it continuously, organises it by person and project, and makes sure someone else can get to it when it matters.

The problem

Single person surrounded by thought bubbles representing scattered institutional knowledge

Every investor meeting, board conversation, hiring decision and vendor negotiation lives in one head: yours. If something happens to you, or if you just want to take a real vacation, your co-founder, CFO or successor has to rebuild that context from scratch — and most of it is gone for good.

The tools that are supposed to help don't. Notion gets filled with strategy decks nobody re-reads. CRMs track pipeline but not why you trust a supplier. Slack archives are searchable but formless. Your actual institutional memory — the reasons behind decisions — is still stuck in your head.

And when you finally do sell the company, the buyer pays less because the knowledge doesn't transfer. Exit multiples literally hinge on this.

How BrainCopy solves it

Capture in one sentence, get structure for free

Type or say a sentence like "Had coffee with Anna from Northzone; she passed on the A round but liked the founding team, worth reconnecting pre-B." BrainCopy classifies it, links Anna into your people graph, attaches it to the current fundraising project, and files it chronologically in your diary. No forms, no tagging, no filing.

Every person, supplier, investor becomes a dossier

Each person in your graph accumulates every mention across years — meetings, decisions, concerns, commitments. Your co-founder can open "Anna" and see the full relationship context in one view, not dig through six years of Slack.

Import your past, not just your future

Pull in Facebook, Google Photos, iCloud, WhatsApp, old Evernote exports, scanned notebooks. BrainCopy OCRs handwriting, extracts faces, geocodes photos, and weaves it all into a continuous narrative. The company's first five years stop being a black box.

Legacy access — you decide who sees what, and when

Name specific people who inherit access to specific parts of your archive if you become unavailable. Co-founder gets the business side. Spouse gets the personal side. Optional confirmation period prevents false triggers. This is the part normal SaaS tools simply don't do.

Plug it into Claude or ChatGPT

BrainCopy exposes your very own MCP server (MCP = Model Context Protocol — an open standard that lets AI assistants like Claude and ChatGPT read data from systems you control). Your AI can read your life and work context directly. "Summarise every conversation I've had with our German distributor this year" becomes one question, not an archaeology project.

FAQ

Where is my data stored?
Your files go to a Nextcloud account we provision for you on European infrastructure (Hetzner, Germany). Your database rows sit in an EU-hosted MySQL. We run on Swedish and German servers. No US cloud in the pipeline for your actual content.
Is this GDPR-compliant?
Yes. BrainCopy is a Swedish company (Cnvert Sweden AB), EU-hosted, with full account deletion and data export. Legacy access is explicit and revocable.
Can my co-founder or successor actually use this if I'm gone?
That's the point. You designate legacy recipients per-tag or per-person, with a confirmation window (default 90 days inactivity + 7 days notice) before access activates. Or you can trigger it manually, or set a specific date.
What does it cost?
Base subscription is €10/month (100 GB of EU storage, sync client, photo and voice capture, transcription, extended upload time, daily digests, weekly review). AI processing steps (face recognition, vision, diary enrichment) are priced per-use with exact cost calculation from your data — typically €50–€300 for a founder's 5–10 year archive, done once. With FOUNDERS50 the subscription is €5/month, forever.
What if I already use Notion / a CRM / Roam / Obsidian?
BrainCopy doesn't replace them — it sits underneath. Keep using Notion for strategy docs and the CRM for pipeline. BrainCopy captures the connective tissue that lives between those tools: the conversations, the context, the people, the reasoning. Your AI, via MCP, can pull from BrainCopy plus those other tools in one query.
Why would I trust a beta?
Because your own use is the point. Start by importing the stuff that's already backed up elsewhere (social media, Google Photos). If BrainCopy vanished tomorrow, you'd lose nothing that isn't already somewhere else. As you grow more confident, start trusting it with original capture. Henrik (the founder) runs his own life on it.
What about my personal life?
Same archive, your choice what lives where. Tag things "work" or "personal"; legacy recipients can be scoped per-tag. A lot of founders find the personal/family side turns out to be the part they value most.
